Mr. McKendry was born in Ottawa, ON. He attended Trent University and studied environmental science, geography, education, and English. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Honours degree from Trent University, Mr. McKendry continued his concurrent education program at Queen's University and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor of Education; specializing in primary/junior and visual arts. Since completing his Bachelor of Education, Mr. McKendry has become qualified to teach grades 7-12 and obtained a additional teaching qualifications in reading instruction, grade 7/8 mathematics, and visual arts. He has been teaching with Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board for 15 years. At Centennial Secondary School, Mr. McKendry currently teaches a grade 7-8 homeroom.
